The „HyTrust“project consists of three parts:

A: Analysis of public acceptance

The first step of the project will be to find out who are the engaged actors in the implementation of hydrogen and fuel cell technology, what is the current state of public acceptance in hydrogen technology in general and to identify which positions and arguments are mentioned in public disputes. more

B: Knowledge and trust management

To enhance the level of public familiarity with hydrogen technologies and the public trust the next part focuses on different communication tools. These include participation processes of citizens. more

C: development of social sustainable scenarios

Finally for an effective trust building process it is important to link the new hydrogen technology with future scenarios. Therefore future concepts for hydrogen based mobility are developed in detail in teams of citizens and experts and integrated in social sustainable scenarios. more

Hydrogen as fuel

"Yes, my friends, I believe that water will one day be employed as fuel, that hydrogen and oxygen which constitute it, used singly or together, will furnish an inexhaustible source of heat and light, of an intensity of which coal is not capable. Water will be the coal of the future."
